The Archbishop’s Building Authority in Freiburg consists of a team of 16 employees who focus on the restoration and renovation of church buildings in accordance with the requirements of historical monuments, as well as the new construction and redesign of rectory buildings and parish centers.
In addition, our tasks include advising the Archbishop’s Ordinariate and the parishes in construction matters.

YOUR TASKS WILL BE:

• All architectural services (LPh 1-9 HOAI)
• Planning, execution and construction management of demanding construction measures, in particular refurbishments and renovations of valuable, listed sacred buildings and their equipment
• New buildings, conversions and extensions of vicarages and parish centers
• Advice to parishes on building issues, in particular participation in foundation council and parish council meetings
• Subject area work with supervision of the parishes
• Preparation of site analyzes and feasibility studies

YOU BRING WITH YOU:

• Completed studies in architecture, civil engineering or comparable studies
• min. 2 years of professional experience desired (preferably with historical building fabric and monument preservation)
• Knowledge and experience in all service phases of the HOAI
• Sensitivity to listed buildings and liturgical spaces
• Safe handling of MS Office, ArchiCAD and California.pro
• drivers licence class B
• Ability to work in a team, social skills, communication skills
